Murphy Stinks

OH got an awesome pay cheque and I thought, right, that will get out baby emergency fund at least halfway.

The car went for its annual check up. Nope, two tyres required. And the oven has died.

On one hand I’m happy because OH’s pay will cover the tyres and my side hustling will pay for the oven to get replaced (we’re only using a cheap bench top oven while we renovate). But on the other I am so frustrated that these things are happening. I haven’t got to the point of being able to set up sinking funds for these things yet so just so annoyed.

Wednesday

Side hustle payments came in so Baby Emergency Fund is now at $174.25 🙂

We have already prepaid on the mortgage to cover the slow income Christmas period, and saved a few hundred dollars to buy Christmas gifts (no big spending here!).

It’s a regular work day so not much exciting happening here.

I didn’t have time to bake with working late last night so I pulled the frozen scones out of the freezer and baked those off this morning for the preschool lunchbox and grazing throughout today (why is my husband ALWAYS hungry?)

One more survey done for points.

Did at least 9 hours of my regular job and then onto one of the side jobs. It’s no wonder I get tired 🙂
